Preparing Students to Face New Challenges

The Dual Diploma® was created and developed by Academica and is the official program for the international recognition of school-leaving qualifications that allows students to obtain two qualifications at the same time: the qualification of their own country and the American High School Diploma®.

On completing their studies, students of the Dual Diploma® program receive the same qualification as American students when they finish high school, recognized in all US states and all the universities in the world.

Language, Technology and Personal Immersion

Together with the notable improvement in English skills, the Dual Diploma® provides students with a high level of personal autonomy and considerable ease in dealing with the new technologies.

How does it work?
Maximum Recognition of Subjects

Students of the Dual Diploma® only have to take 6 subjects to obtain the American qualification. The international agreements signed by Academica and the educational excellence of the program make it possible to obtain the highest rate of recognition possible: 75% of the 24 credits needed to obtain the American High School Diploma®.

Of these 6 subjects, 4 are compulsory and 2 are elective, which allows students to take subjects of considerable interest that are not found in the European syllabus and provide extra motivation for students, enriching their vocabulary in subjects that they would not normally study in English: Digital Photography, Criminology, Psychology, etc.

DEGREE PROGRAM

The Dual Diploma® can be started in 2nd ESO, 3rd ESO, 4th ESO or 1st Baccalaureate. The advantage of starting in 2nd ESO is that The student will only have to study 1 or 2 subjects per course, reducing the teaching load during the baccalaureate

* In 2nd ESO students who, due to their level of English, maturity and interest, may access the program are recommended by the school for registration.

* Summer School: the program offers students with good grades that when they reach 2nd Baccalaureate have to take 2 or 3 credits to advance the elective subject of the last year, performing it during the summer of 1st to 2nd Baccalaureate.
